On Monday, October 27th, five new poll locations will be open for early voting.

The five additional sites, open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, are as follows:

* Cobb Galleria Specialty Mall, 2 Galleria Parkway;

* East Cobb Government Service Center, 4400 Lower Roswell Road in Marietta;

* South Cobb Government Service Center, 4700 Austell Road in Austell;

* Boots Ward Recreation Center, 4845 Dallas Highway in Powder Springs; and

* North Cobb Senior Center, 4100 Old Highway 41 in Acworth.

The main Cobb Elections office, at 736 Whitlock Ave. in Marietta, will be continue to be open for voters from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until election day.

How many have voted already you ask? Glad you did – 53,637 Cobb voters have cast their ballots for the Nov. 4 election since early voting opened back on September 19th. With long lines already happening daily, officials expect the lines to get worse as election day approaches. The total number of registered voters in Cobb County Georgia is 440,315. Officials are predicting 85%-90% turnout. I think that seems pretty aggressive, but we’ll see what happens. Over 60K voters registered in October alone officials tell WhitlockAvenue.com. What’s wild is that there are actually less poll workers who will be working the polls this election (2,065) than were available to man the polls in the 2004 Presidential Election.

If you aren’t sure where you are supposed to vote, you can use the Cobb County Poll Locator
