Volunteers will meet at the Public Works Complex, 750 North Marietta Parkway, and receive trash bags, vests and a cleanup location, Keep Marietta Beautiful director Joan Ellars said. “Vests are required by law to be able to work on the roads.”

It’s estimated that there are at least 4.4 million personal computers and 8 million televisions in Georgia. This will eventually become 334,800 tons of garbage in our landfills.

“Our goal is to promote the recovery, reuse and recycling of obsolete electronic equipment, and to promote the design, manufacture and purchase of environmentally responsible electronic equipment,” Keep Marietta Beautiful executive director Joan Ellars said.

MOLAM International, 925 Industrial Park Drive, Marietta, GA 30062, will recycle items brought to the event.
