Worse - way worse. This monstrosity clashes terribly with the historic square. I won't be going there again.

Yes, that might be true Paid Parker, but while there might a sign when you enter the lot, the signs on each space are TERRIBLE. They need to spend some money and upgrade those signs asap. The one next to where I was parked was an MPC spot and it was CLEARLY marked. Where I was parked was the worst marked space I've ever seen. So much so that I didn't know it was a 'paid' spot. fwiw.

There is a sign when you first enter the lot that states it is a private lot. Manning Properties only receives money from those that pay for the spots back there. Towing is requested by the person that rents the spot.

I know a racket when I see one. Booting cars on poorly marked spaces is dirty pool. I don't think they city would tolerate this if they knew what was going on. Anyone care to raise this issue at a council meeting?

Emerson Coffee Company is No more. It is Now Marietta Cigar and Coffee Company. I can say that the difference in the product and the service is night and day. There is a smoking lounge separated from the coffee side. It is still the Emerson brand coffee, which is a blend of Costa Rican and Sumatra Beans ground to an espresso ground-used for all espresso based drinks and their brewed coffee. Which I found to be outstanding. The baked goods seem better and bigger; definitely worth the price. Personally I think they should charge more. The service is out of this world amazing. The barista, John, in the early mornings is amazing. Very warm and apt to please. The owner Michelle Prewett is a touch of Southern Hospitality the Marietta Square area has been lacking. From my experience emerson's before held inconsistent hours and their product was fair and a majority of the time inconsistent as well. Now, even with a the cigars and smoking lounge, it is by far better than anything emerson's was; and by far anything Starbuck's has striven to be. They are open seven days a week, free Wi-Fi, Smoking Lounge, and a dining area for non-smokers. The decor is better and more in tuned to the coffee house vibe. Warm and inviting. Almost like home. The tables are in need of improvement, but to my understanding it is something the new owners look to change in the future.
Seriously go check the new emerson's: Marietta Cigar and Coffee Company

No kidding man. I can understand if the spot itself is clearly marked (like some of the merchants do) but to rely on some sign that is tucked around the corner and some faded out, not painted since 1981 number that is barely on the space itself, is just ridiculous.

Same goes for the lot behind McCrackens and the pottery place on Atlanta Street. On nights and weekends, those jokers will boot you to the tune of $125 cash. How hard would it be to just put up a chain at night, instead of waiting for folks to park and then holding them hostage for ransom money?

Kennesaw Ave. was redone this past summer. It's DECEMBER. Could someone tell me exactly when they plan on having it finished? It rains and Kennesaw Ave. floods worse than it did before. Maple, Holland, Stewart and Atwood intersections are still torn up...WHEN WILL IT BE FINISHED?
