Chicks, Flicks and Chocolate: Fried Green Tomatoes.
Sat., August 21, 7 PM. Reservations by August 19. The 1991 film recounts the life of a disgruntled housewife who develops an unlikely friendship with an older woman in a local nursing home. She escapes the troubles of her own life by absorbing herself with the old woman’s tales of people she used to know.
The pre-show organ concert and sing-along at 6:30 PM. Chick Flick Reception tickets include admission to the film, a dessert reception on the theatre’s rooftop terrace and one alcoholic beverage and are only $15 and only available in advance of show (buy them by Aug. 19).
Tickets to just the movie are $7 and can be purchased in advance or at the door.
