If you love to sing, like being silly in front of your friends or have dreamed of being the next American Idol, you’re invited to join Marietta’s 175th anniversary culture committee August 7 from 8-11 p.m. on the Square for Karaoke Culture Night.

People of all ages are invited to pick their favorite songs from all genres of music and join in the fun with karaoke jockey (KJ) Jimmy G of Prodigy Karaoke as he emcees the event.

“You can bring your own tables and chairs and enjoy the great and (maybe not so great) voices while sitting under the stars enjoying the evening,” Gone with the Wind Museum director Connie Sutherland said.

Sign-ups will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The public is reminded that Glover Park is a non-smoking environment. Marietta City Council at their July 8 regular meeting banned smoking at any time in Glover Park on the Marietta Square to protect visitors’ health.

For more information, call Marietta Gone with the Wind Museum director Connie Sutherland at 770-794-5145.

It was a blast, Jimmy G did a great job and Ken stole the show
with his rendition of Rebel Yell. Every body did great can’t wait
    until the next show.
