The show recounts the life of Joseph Merrick, a man who lived in London during the Victorian era and was known for his severe physical deformities. Tickets are $12. July 25, 12 PM. Home Alone (PG). Celebrate Christmas in July on Marietta Square with a showing of the 1990 film Home Alone starring Macaulay Caulkin. When accidentally left behind while his family flies to France for Christmas, a small boy takes on two burglars that attempt to break into his home. August 1, 8 PM. Sing Along with Mamma Mia! (PG). Bring your best karaoke skills and sing along to the popular songs of ABBA while watching the film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical Mamma Mia! The 2008 film features an all-star cast of Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgard, and Amanda Seyfried in the fun story of a girl who attempts to find her father before getting married. August 21, 7 PM. Chicks, Flicks and Chocolate: Fried Green Tomatoes (PG-13). The Strand Theatre hosts a ladies’ night out with the 1991 film Fried Green Tomatoes. Tickets include the show, a dessert reception on the theatre’s rooftop terrace and an alcoholic beverage. Movie & Dessert Reception tickdts are $15. August 22, 11:30 PM. Rocky Horror Picture Show (R). More than just a movie, the 1975 British musical comedy film is a cult classic that is famous for its audience participation. Live actors will bring the story to life on-site. No outside props are allowed, but prop bags will be available at the venue. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes.
