City of Marietta helps Franklin Road community for Christmas

Hundreds of area youth and their families attended Holidays around the World December 18 at the Crown Plaza Hotel, 1775 Parkway Place.

In addition to learning about and celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Las Posadas, children received toys, and families received canned goods and help writing their resumes and conducting job searches.

The Business Improvement Council worked with local businesses to promote increased business activity and improve the overall image of Franklin Road.

“We had a great turnout,” Marietta Weed and Seed Coordinator Daneea Badio said. “More than 400 Franklin Road residents received toys, food and job search assistance.”
