Don’t forget to vote early and avoid long lines on election day in Cobb County

Oct 23rd, 2008 | By admin | Category: City of Marietta, Cobb County, Marietta Government, Site Features

With the election just a few weeks away, we’ll probably see unprecedented voter turnout since so much hinges on this election: the war and global economic meltdown amongst many other issues. If you don’t want to wait in line to vote in a few weeks then be sure to head over to the Cobb County Board of Elections Office located at 736 Whitlock Avenue in Marietta.

If you aren’t sure where you need to vote, you can visit the State of Georgia’s Poll Locator. If you are looking for the sample ballot, you can View the Sample 2008 Ballot here.

The cobb elections board will also be opening some additional sites on October 27 for advance voting.

  1. Consider adding to the web site the waiting time at the early voting locations.

  2. Hi John, we’d be glad to - if anyone is out and mobile please email us your location and time you spent in line to news @ whitlockavenue.com - thanks!

  3. Lines were 4+ hours long this morning at the austell rd voting location.

Felt a bit like during a gas scare… lol.

Made me wonder if anyone actually voting on the 4th?
