Well, now some local chicken ladies have the no-calorie alternative – they want you to buy Lil’ Chickens! If you haven’t heard by now, the Lil’ Chickens of Marietta is a fun new art program designed to create a buzz by bringing the work of local artists out to the public spaces of Marietta. Like the Cows on Parade in Chicago and the Sandy Springs Turtles, this program will put painted and otherwise adorned sculptures on the sidewalks of Marietta this summer for the enjoyment of visitors and residents alike. It also gives local businesses and individuals a way to support the arts and local nonprofits.
